My Man is Cupid Episode 12 Recap

The episode starts with Sang-hyuk 500 years ago having his happy time with Baek-ryun (court lady/maid) before the Prince (Jae-hee) kills them out of jealousy. Then at present, we see Jae-hee rushing to Baek-ryun and proving to her that Sang-hyuk isn’t human but she doesn’t bother and walks away. However, she also saw his hands disappear when she was admitted to the hospital but decides to chuck that thought.

In the mountain when she completes the 1000th day, Sang-hyuk comes and the couple finally embrace, acknowledging their relationship. Jae-hee sees them both from a distance and gets mad. His head hurts as he remembers his past life as the prince but he slowly calms himself and lets the couple enjoy their moment. We also see the two deities, Fate and Courage, challenging each other so that Sang-hyuk can’t fall in love with a human while the other declares that they will be united.

Sang-hyuk and Baek-ryun start a relationship and go on a date to her orphanage. Jae-hee arranges for his fellow detective to keep a watch on them as he worries about Baek-ryun. The serial killer Myeong-sik speaks with his lawyer and says that he didn’t kill Eun-seo but was at the crime spot to talk with Ms. Oh. This is why they found his cigarette bud. Regardless he decides to bear the crime to save someone else.

At the orphanage, Sang-hyuk finds an old poster with all the 7 deadly sins written on it and panics. He then learns about a female director who used to abuse the orphanage kids. He realises that someone who grew up in the orphanage is the killer and not Myeong-sik. When he visits Myeong-sik and asks him not to save the killer, he says that he is the killer and smirks. This makes Sang-hyuk understand that Myeong-sik is an accomplice of the real serial killer and rushes to Baek-ryun’s clinic.

At the same time, Jae-hee checks Myeong-sik’s place and doesn’t feel he is the killer. He senses something off as well. When he passes by Jeong-ah’s home, her parents walk out with a hurt dog, so Jae-hee assists them to Baek-ryun’s clinic. Previously, we see a suspicious man (his face isn’t shown) dropping a dog at Jeong-ah’s place. Towards the end, the same anonymous person visits Baek-ryun’s clinic with a hurt dog and gets it treated.

When Sang-hyuk arrives we see Jae-hee already present there so he lets out a sigh. However, Jeong-ah’s parents see Sang-hyuk and address him as a detective, proving that Sang-hyuk isn’t a human as he looks young like how he was in 1993. The episode ends with all of them looking at Sang-hyuk, putting him in the spot where he has to tell the truth.

As expected, the real killer is still on the loose and it could be either a male or a female as we’re not yet shown the person’s face. Someone who grew up in the orphanage, abused by the female director decided to heal their trauma by killing others with the same 7 deadly sins as a reason. The series is reaching its climax point where Jae-hee will remember his past and something will happen between them three and also the killer will be finally revealed, sparking a shock.
