The Korean remake of “Money Heist” has released an exciting new trailer!
Based on the hit Spanish series “Money Heist,” the upcoming drama “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” will follow an anonymous squad of robbers who join forces for an ambitious, large-scale heist on the fictional Unified Korean Mint.
Yoo Ji Tae will star as the Professor, the mastermind behind the operation, while his crew of robbers will include Park Hae Soo, Jeon Jong Seo, Lee Hyun Woo, Kim Ji Hoon, Jang Yoon Joo, Lee Won Jong, and more.
The newly released trailer introduces viewers to an alternate reality in which North and South Korea have been reunified. However, in contrast to the empty promises that all North Korean and South Korean citizens would benefit from the reunification, only the rich have gotten richer. In this new world, the Professor hatches what he describes as a revolutionary scheme to steal an astounding amount of money, then goes about recruiting members for his team.
Although the Professor has a detailed plan for what a hostage situation at the Mint will entail, the suspenseful trailer seems to suggest that not everything will go according to plan.
“Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” will premiere on Netflix on June 24.
