JTBC’s new survival show “Peak Time” has overtaken Mnet’s “Boys Planet” to become the most buzzworthy non-drama TV show of the week!
“Peak Time” is a brand-new idol competition program in which teams battle for the chance to become the next “worldwide idol group.” Unlike other audition programs, its contestants consist entirely of male idols who have already debuted, whether currently active or part of a disbanded group, and they compete “anonymously” under temporary group names.
In its first week on air, “Peak Time” debuted at No. 1 on Good Data Corporation’s list of the non-drama TV shows that generated the most buzz over the past week. The company determines each week’s rankings by analyzing data from news articles, blog posts, online communities, videos, and social media posts about non-drama TV shows that are currently airing or set to air soon.
Not only did “Peak Time” debut at No. 1 on the list of shows, but one of its contestants—VANNER, who goes by the name Team 11:00 on the program—entered the list of most buzzworthy non-drama TV appearances at No. 5.
Meanwhile, the new idol audition program “Boys Planet” (the male version of “Girls Planet 999,” which gave rise to the project girl group Kep1er) stayed strong at No. 2 on the list of most buzzworthy non-drama TV shows this week.
