He tells Woo-jin to head to the scene of the building collapse while calling In-su back to the trauma centre to treat the patients that are soon to arrive.

While his friend keeps persuading Eun-jae to save him, she remembers Woo-jin’s words, to not perform CPR as they need to save as many as they can and not revive the dead. She has to give up on the student when she sees his friend falling over and hurries to treat him.

Meanwhile, Eun-jae, Dong-hwa and Gi-tae are stuck in traffic when trying to make their way to the scene. Given no other choice, Eun-tak and Dong-hwa make a run for the scene to get there as soon as possible. Woo-jin communicates with the paramedic’s head and asks him to make segregate the injured and dead according to the colour code given to them.

Eun-tak and Dong-hwa soon arrive at the scene and begin helping the two in treating the patients. Back at the trauma centre, Min-guk tells Sa-bu that assemblyman Ko is also stuck under the rubble of the collapsed building. Sa-bu tells him to continue as he had told them earlier and get started with the rescue.

On the other hand, Eun-jae makes her way back to the trauma centre with an injured student while Woo-jin rushes to Eun-tak to save a student. However, their efforts are in vain as the student spurts out blood and dies.

Elsewhere, paramedics find some students and their teacher under the rubble and find out that there are injured among them. They inform Woo-jin about this, upon finding out that the teacher’s situation is not good and there is a student with asthma, he makes his choice.

Woo-jin decides to go to them which is met with opposition from both Eun-tak and the paramedic. Looking at the student who is now being carried away, Woo-jin is determined to stand by his choice. Eun-tak decides to go with him and the two make their way to the survivors.

The scene at the trauma centre is hectic and the staff continue going from one patient to another according to the severity of their injuries. They focus on the severely injured while the nurses guide the others. Right then, Sa-bu gets a call from Dong-hwa who saw Woo-jin and Eun-tak getting inside the collapsed building.

Dr Romantic Season 3 Episode 9 Review

Woo-jin is really giving us a series of emotional ups and downs these days. After the shooting incident last week, he now enters the lap of danger once again to give us all a shock.

Episode 9 brought out the tough and cruel decisions doctors have to make during a disaster which is heartbreaking for them as well. This episode has been painful for many as well as angering towards some people (we know who). Sa-bu on the other hand has shown exceptional leadership in this situation which is not easy to handle unless it is someone with a cool head.

When it comes to having a clear mind, Eun-jae too has shown us how even in hard situations one has to put aside their emotions and carry on with their duty, especially when it has to do with saving someone’s life.

This episode will fill you up with gratitude for those saving life each day. The hard choices that they have to make on an everyday basis, even when it means putting their own lives in danger is commendable. But at the end of the day, let’s hope Woo-jin makes it out of this one as well.
