Dr Romantic season 3 episode 10 begins with the news of a second collapse breaking out everywhere while the situation of Woo-jin and Eun-tak remains unknown. Sa-bu rushes to leave for the collapse site while Min-guk rushes to him to help him reach there as soon as possible.

Ah-reum and Eun-jae are worried for the two while the men are stuck under the rubble. Eun-tak checks on everyone and is shocked to see two rods passing through Woo-jin’s arm and hand. Meanwhile, Sa-bu reaches the site and tries to contact the two through the communication device.

Eun-tak hears Sa-bu’s voice inside the building and rushes to get his hands on the device. Getting no reply, Sa-bu almost gives up when Eun-tak replies and tells them about the situation inside. While everyone rejoices knowing that they are alive, Eun-tak tells Sa-bu about Woo-jin’s hand.

Sa-bu is shocked and decides to head inside himself so as to save Woo-jin. Everyone is against his decision but his determination cannot be swayed. Sa-bu soon enters the building and Eun-tak is relieved to see him. He immediately takes Sa-bu to the conscious Woo-jin who is lying on top of the patient he saved.

He sees the situation while Woo-jin tries to keep calm through the pain and shock he is in. The rods are seen going through Woo-jin’s hand and into the patient’s chest. Looking at the severity of the situation, Sa-bu tells Woo-jin that the rods need to be detached from the concrete after which the two will be rushed to the hospital.

He tells Woo-jin that the vibration from the cutter may harm his hand more than it already is, but there is no choice if they want to save the patient he tried to save. Woo-jin is ready to follow Sa-bu’s decision and a cutter is soon brought to help cut the rods.

The paramedics begin, and the vibration brings immense pain to Woo-jin’s hand while Sa-bu tries to hold him. The concrete is soon detached, however, one rod is left in the patient while one remains stuck in Woo-jin’s hand.

Sa-bu holds him tight while Woo-jin cries in pain. Meanwhile, Eun-tak gets the patient out of the rubble and sends him to the hospital. Woo-jin is rushed as well while Sa-bu has everyone at the hospital prepared for the surgeries.

Everyone at the hospital is relieved upon finding out that the two have been rescued and prepare for the surgery. Eun-jae is worried for Woo-jin after finding out that he has hurt his hand and rushes to him.

The patients soon arrive at the hospital and treatment begins. Sa-bu too prepares for his surgery on Woo-jin, but breaks down for a moment in his office. Dr Bae arrives to find out that Sa-bu has a fever due to the stress and advice him to leave the surgery to someone else because his health can have adverse effects on his wrist.

Sa-bu is not ready to wait for anyone else and assures him that he will fix Woo-jin’s hand even if he has to give up on his own wrist. Eun-jae overhears this and is emotional, but she soon rushes back to perform surgery on the man Woo-jin tried to save. The two surgeries soon begin.

While Min-guk and Eun-jae smoothly go through the procedure, Sa-bu and the others are relieved to see that the damage to Woo-jin’s hand wasn’t severe. However, the fever gets to Sa-bu as he loses control of his wrist which starts shaking. Sa-bu feels helpless at this moment and tries to best to finally get his hand to stop shaking.

The surgery then smoothly proceeds and is a success. On the other hand, the trial finally ends and Jin-man checks the messages on his phone. He then calls Eun-jae to find out how Woo-jin has been doing, only to be met with contempt. Eun-jae rebukes him for not doing his role at the trauma centre and questions the reason why he was even there.

Later, she arrives to meet Woo-jin and thanks Sa-bu before entering the room. Woo-jin wakes up right then and assures Eun-jae who asks him why he had to risk so much to save the patient. He tells her that he saved a teacher who has changed someone’s life just like how Sa-bu changed their lives.

Elsewhere, Dong-hwa asks Sa-bu what kind of a person he is only to be teased by the latter. Right then the news of assemblyman Ko arriving at the trauma centre is brought to him. At the trauma centre, Nurse Oh tells the assemblyman’s assistant to take her to the hospital as the more critical patients are brought to the trauma centre.

In-su passes by the scene and notices that there is something wrong with her foot and rushes to check on it. Ignoring her insistence to change hospitals, he confirms the problem with Dr Bae and asks her to proceed with the treatment as soon as possible. Sa-bu arrives to check on the situation.

The assemblyman breaks down while remembering how her son wasn’t given treatment on time and suspects the attitude of the doctors right now. In-su tries to talk to her and show her his side of the situation before once again asking her to get treatment as soon as possible and leaving.

At the end of the day, everything finally calms down at Doldam. However, another storm arrives as Ah-reum questions Eun-tak about her position in his life before making it clear that this time it will not be easy to console her. Elsewhere, Sa-bu talks to In-su about what happened earlier.

He tells him how their work is one that won’t always be appreciated, however, they will never stop and carry on with their duties. He tries to lighten up In-su’s mood and talks about the journey they have made to build the trauma centre. He then suggests he call his daughter before leaving.

Upon reaching the hospital, Sa-bu is met with Jin-man who asks him about the condition of his wrist. He then tries to show his value in front of Sa-bu by telling him how he is needed here to take his place. Sa-bu scoffs at his attitude and makes him realise that Jin-man was just a Plan B for him.

Meanwhile, Sa-bu’s phone gets a call from none other than Kang Dong-joo.

Dr Romantic Season 3 Episode 10 Review

The excitement continues to grow with each weekend and at this moment I cannot help but curse the week-long wait before the next episode. The drama at Doldam is certainly taking big turns and with the return of Kang Dong-joo, it is only going to get better.

Episode 10 took the actors and their characters to another level as they bring out the best emotions of every individual throughout this case. From their selfless duties to the raw emotions that have been filled with shock, sadness, pain, and more, this week has certainly been a treat for viewers of this show.

But today’s episode did not just show the importance of doctors but also brought a focus on the role of teachers in one’s life. Kim Sa-bu was a teacher who saved Woo-jin and Eun-jae, and it is his role in their lives that made Woo-jin thro himself in danger to save another teacher who is influencing another life.

This brings us to Han Seok-kyu who has brought out the best of his character Kim Sa-bu who has become a fatherly figure to many at Doldam. The actor and the character are both melting our hearts as well as exciting us along the way.

However, it is still the final scene that has us all screaming as we see the potential of an old face returning soon. Altogether, the rollercoaster has just passed another case but has not ended because the excitement has now taken a new turn.
