BLACKPINK has earned another Guinness World Record!
On April 14, Guinness World Records announced that BLACKPINK now holds the title for most-viewed music channel on YouTube (group) after registering 30,151,716,121 video views (as of April 12).
This title was last updated in 2018 and previously held by American pop/rock band Maroon 5 with 9 billion views.
Early this year, BLACKPINK made history after “DDU-DU DDU-DU” became the first K-pop group music video ever to surpass 2 billion views. On April 14, BLACKPINK surpassed 600 million views with “Pink Venom,” marking their 10th full-group music video to achieve the feat.
Last month, BLACKPINK broke the Guinness World Record to become Spotify’s most-streamed girl group after accumulating over 8.8 billion individual streams. The group holds several other records together, including most subscribers for a band on YouTube, first K-pop group to reach No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart (Female), and first K-pop group to reach No. 1 on the U.S. Albums Chart (Female).
Congratulations to BLACKPINK!
