BTS’s “Dynamite” Becomes 2nd Song In Oricon History To Surpass 700 Million Streams

BTS has made Oricon history with “Dynamite”!

According to the latest weekly streaming ranking (dated April 17) on Oricon – Japan’s largest music statistics site – BTS’s “Dynamite” has officially surpassed 700 million streams. For the week of April 3 to 9, “Dynamite” recorded 1,845,716 hits, making the cumulative streaming total over 701.1 million.

In addition to BTS now being the first male and foreign artist to achieve this streaming milestone in Japan, “Dynamite” is only the second song in Oricon history to accumulate over 700 million streams. The only other song with over 700 million streams in Japan is Yoasobi’s “Yoru ni Kakeru.”

“Dynamite” was first released in August 2020 and in February 2022, it became the first foreign song to earn a diamond certification by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) after surpassing 500 million streams.

Congratulations to BTS!
