Upcoming Netflix original “Celebrity” has unveiled its main poster and trailer!

“Celebrity” is an upcoming series that depicts the true reality of the glamorous and competitive life of celebrities encountered by Seo Ah Ri, who jumps into a world where fame brings riches and experiences a whirlwind of events. The drama will star Park Gyu Young as Seo Ah Ri along with CNBLUE’s Kang Min Hyuk, Lee Chung Ah, Lee Dong Gun, and Jun Hyosung.

The main poster draws the bigger picture of a celebrity’s extravagant life. As Seo Ah Ri steps into the spotlight and a picture-perfect shot of her is uploaded to Instagram, the full extent of her surroundings proves that there is so much more going on than what is initially seen.

What’s most noticeable are the rips and huge stains on her dress. While the stain could easily be spilled food, it also eerily resembles blood. Surrounding Seo Ah Ri are all kinds of phones, screens, and characters, raising questions as to what scenarios she will face after diving in headfirst into the influencer world.

In the main trailer, Seo Ah Ri returns with a live broadcast after supposedly dying. She explains to her 1.3 million followers, “The reason I started this live broadcast was to become famous.” She adds, “Don’t you want to know how commoner Seo Ah Ri became a celebrity? To be honest, there’s a secret cheat to this.”

As she starts making her way up in the influencer world and garnering the attention of fans, Seo Ah Ri simultaneously garners the hatred and intrigue of her fellow celebrities. Oh Min Hye (Jun Hyosung) angrily asks, “You used to roll around at the very bottom and now you think you amount to something?” Unbothered, Seo Ah Ri replies, “Do I not?”

On the other hand, Yoon Shi Hyun (Lee Chung Ah) takes a mysterious liking to Seo Ah Ri while Han Joon Kyung (Kang Min Hyuk) grows curious about her. He asks, “Isn’t that girl interesting?” Jin Tae Jeon (Lee Dong Gun) responds, “Who knows, what she’s done behind the scenes.”

Returning to her live broadcast, Seo Ah Ri states, “That’s right, because this is what I needed. Exactly this kind of attention. Because I died.”

As Oh Min Hye grows furious that Seo Ah Ri is trying to expose their world, Jin Tae Jeon aggressively cries out, “Everything is planned and fabricated! I will deal with it!”

With a knowing gaze, Seo Ah Ri mysteriously continues, “Aren’t you going crazy? The rest of the story is even more thrilling.”

On using a live broadcast as a means to expose the influencer world, director Kim Chul Gyu shared, “Live broadcasts are a big revolution. It’s both a carrier to convey the story and something that’s organically intertwined with the plot.”

“Celebrity” premieres worldwide on June 30.
