Highly-anticipated sci-film “The Moon” has dropped new posters and a teaser ahead of its premiere!
Produced by director Kim Yong Hwa, the mastermind behind the “Along With the Gods” series, “The Moon” will tell the story of an astronaut left alone in space and another man on Earth who is desperately trying to save him. D.O. will take the role of Sun Woo, the astronaut who became stranded in space over 384,000 kilometers away from Earth due to an unexpected accident, and Sol Kyung Gu will play former space center director Jae Guk, the man on Earth who will embark on a rescue mission to save Sun Woo. Kim Hee Ae will transform into Moon Young, the chief director of the International Space Station.
The newly released poster captures a Lunar Roving Vehicle running across the moon’s surface as a dangerous meteor shower comes crashing down. Along with a poster image of the moon, the other posters capture a look at former director of Naro Space Center Jae Guk, astronaut Sun Woo, and NASA’s main director Moon Young.
Korea’s first manned spacecraft to explore the moon becomes stranded after encountering unexpected solar winds. Stranded alone in the boundless space, astronaut Sun Woo is desperate for a helping hand from Earth, which is 384,000 kilometers away from him.
Furthermore, the newly released teaser captures the dangerous and dire journey of Korea’s first lunar exploration spacecraft. Past the brief moment of awe after landing his first step on the moon, Sun Woo is racing on the Lunar Roving Vehicle to escape the falling meteor shower. Meanwhile, Jae Guk, Moon Young, and the space center staff look on with bated breath to confirm his safety.
Near the end of the teaser, Jae Guk orders, “Let’s prepare for take-off. Hwang Sun Woo, now is the moment!” Sun Woo is shown giving his all, and the trailer closes with Sun Woo desperately searching for help while alone in a dark spacecraft.
