MBC’s upcoming drama “Knight Flower” (also known as “Flower That Blooms at Night”) has shared a brand-new teaser!
Set in the Joseon era, “Knight Flower” is an action-comedy drama starring Honey Lee as Jo Yeo Hwa, a woman who has lived a quiet and modest life as a virtuous widow by day for 15 years. However, she is secretly leading a double life: at night, she valiantly sneaks out to help those in need.
Lee Jong Won will star in the drama as Park Soo Ho, a military officer with a sharp mind and exceptional combat skills. On top of these strengths, he also has a gentle personality and upstanding character.
The newly released teaser shows the different sides of Jo Yeo Hwa, the daughter-in-law of the second state councillor. After briefly showing Jo Yeo Hwa with a dignified demeanor, the video captures some of her comedic moments, such as a scene where she is seen struggling to get off a palanquin.
In one scene, Jo Yeo Hwa tries to divert attention by feigning ignorance when officer Park Soo Ho asks suspiciosuly, “Haven’t we seen each other before?”
The teaser then gives a glimpse of Jo Yeo Hwa as a masked swordswoman, while Park Soo Ho pursues her in an attempt to uncover her identity. In one scene, officer Park Soo Ho looks around his surroundings at night as if searching for something, while in another scene, Jo Yeo Hwa is seen on a stakeout dressed as a man. In yet another scene, Jo Yeo Hwa’s father-in-law Suk Ji Sung (Kim Sang Joong) is startled after looking inside of a shrine.
Finally, the teaser hints at a change in Jo Yeo Hwa and Park Soo Ho’s relationship as they embrace each other while staring intently into one another’s eyes. When Park Soo Ho asks Jo Yeo Hwa not to leave his sight, she playfully responds, “Yes, yes, of course.”
