JTBC’s “Snowdrop” has shared a fun glimpse behind the scenes of filming!
Helmed by the director and writer of JTBC’s smash hit “SKY Castle,” “Snowdrop” is set in Seoul in 1987. The drama tells the love story of Su Ho, who suddenly rushes into a women’s university dorm covered in blood one day (played by Jung Hae In), and Young Ro, a student who hides him and takes care of his wounds even while facing danger under close surveillance (played by BLACKPINK’s Jisoo).
In a newly released-behind-the-scenes video for Episodes 12 and 13, the director asks Yoo In Na, Jisoo, and Jung Hae In for their input on how to film a scene. However, after they jump into filming, the director catches Jung Hae In off guard by yelling “Cut” before the end of the scene, leaving the surprised actor adorably confused.
Later, Jung Hae In and Jisoo entertain themselves between takes by playing a game where Jisoo tries to guess what song Jung Hae In is whistling.
The clip then goes on to show Jang Seung Jo and Jung Hae In passionately rehearsing a heated conversation between their two characters. However, in contrast to the seriousness of the scene, Jung Hae In is unable to stop laughing every time Jang Seung Jo shines a flashlight in his face.
After repeatedly erupting into a fit of giggles, Jung Hae In eventually asks Jang Seung Jo, “But why are you holding up this [flashlight]? It feels too fake. Brightness aside, it’s just so funny.” The director then cracks Jung Hae In up further by joking, “Take out the sunglasses in your back pocket and wear them.”
Despite constantly bursting into laughter during rehearsals, Jung Hae In manages to pull it together once the cameras start rolling, and the two actors seamlessly pull off the take. However, as soon as the cameras are off, Jang Seung Jo and Jung Hae In immediately revert back to joking around and laughing together.
