Sungchan And Shotaro Thank Fans In Sweet Letters Following Departures From NCT

Sungchan and Shotaro have penned heartfelt letters following their departures from NCT.

On May 24, SM Entertainment announced that Sungchan and Shotaro would be leaving NCT and preparing to debut in another group later this year. Following this announcement, both members shared handwritten letters on fan platform bubble and Instagram.

Hello my dear people, it’s Sungchan!
It’s already been about three years since I first met you all.

I believe that it was my members and fans who helped me when I was lost in that unfamiliar time a few years ago.

I was able to learn and gain a lot while promoting, but now that I look back, I also feel regretful that there seem to be things I wasn’t able to do even better.

It was a tremendous honor to be with you for these three happy years and I consider it a precious memory.

I sincerely thank my members and fans who gifted my lacking self so many memories.

In the future, I will do my best and seek you out with a good image.

Thank you always and I love you!

Shotaro took to Instagram to share his letter, which reads as follows:

Hello, this is Shotaro.
I’m sure you were very shocked after watching today’s video.

Before anything, I want to say thank you so much to the fans who have supported me up until now.
What gave me the most strength for my promotions as NCT was just the existence of our fans.

I was so happy because you always gave me love and support throughout all my promotions, including music shows, content, performances, and more.
Also, there were fans who thanked me and said they could live diligently because I exist, but hearing those words actually gave me more strength.
Thank you.

All the moments I spent with fans are all good memories.
Thank you for always watching over my promotions warmly!

I also want to thank my members, who have cherished me like family from when I joined [NCT] up until now.
I respect my members who showed cool and great images when working and when we were together on a regular basis.
I am so happy and it is such an honor that I was able to promote with such a precious team like NCT.

I believe that all the precious experiences I learned from my promotions with NCT will be my strength to become an artist that you are all proud and unashamed of in my future activities. I will work hard.

I will return “soon” with an even cooler image so please wait a little bit!!
