Queen of Divorce (2024) Episode 4

As Queen of Divorce Episode 4 begins, Gi-jun and Sa-ra are in a car. We witness Gi-jun curse Yul-seong, and soon Sa-ra follows suit.

On the other hand, news of Yul-seong’s father-in-law’s arrest for unlawful soliciting spreads rapidly. Yul-seong and his mother Hui-won plotted his marriage to Ji-in in order to capitalise on her father’s reputation while bolstering their own. However, since that can’t happen, they no longer see Ji-in as useful.

We find out that Yul-seong and his mother have both asked Ji-in to file for a divorce from Yul-seong. In addition, Yul-seong asserts that he has information that Ji-in does not want coming to light. Meanwhile, someone is threatening to use Ji-in’s sex tape to blackmail her. She has a strong suspicion that Yul-seong is using the sex tape as leverage to file for a divorce.

Following this, Ji-in visits Solution and requests that Sa-ra manage the case. When asked to get involved, Sa-ra initially refuses. Nevertheless, she agrees to help Ji-in after she offers her a phone number to reach her son in the United States.

After this, Sa-ra and Gi-jun conspire to take Yul-seong’s USB from his workplace as rumour has it that it contains Ji-in’s sex tape. They find out, nevertheless, that he was attempting blackmail without any evidence to support his claims. Following this, Yul-seong is desperate to get a divorce from Ji-in and so he asks his men to kidnap her. However, instead of Ji-in, they abduct Sa-ra, leading to a car chase, a fight, and their eventual decision to let go of Sa-ra.

It has come to light that Hee-jin, Solutions’ new manager, is actually a spy set up by Yul-seong. In the meantime, we find out that Dae-ki’s connection with his brothers is strained. As Solution pursues Ji-in’s blackmailer, Dae-ki stumbles into his sibling and freezes with anxiety. Then, knowing that his brother is involved in the dark profession of blackmail, he finds him and deletes all of his data from his hard drives. He then leaves, but not before warning him.

We see Hee-jin in the distance as Dae-ki leaves his brother’s place. She pays a visit to Yul-seong and gives him Ji-in’s sex tape. Meanwhile, Gi-jun finds Sa-ra’s clothes in his car and heads over to her place to return it. He finds her hugging a man at the end of the episode.

The Episode Review

In episode 4, Sa-ra decides to represent Ji-in, the ex-wife of her ex-husband, in a new divorce case. Now that Sa-ra has an emotional investment in the case, the stakes couldn’t be higher. On the other hand, Dae-ki’s brother and his tragic background are revealed.

When compared to other episodes, this one has a far better emotional storyline. In this episode, you witness the main characters at their most vulnerable, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. However, the cases that Solution handles continue to be dull and repetitive.
