Park Ji Hyun and Ahn Bo Hyun may be starring in a new drama together!
On February 9, Sports Chosun repored that Park Ji Hyun is in talks to star in SBS’s upcoming drama “Gold Spoon” (literal title). In response to the report, a source from Park Ji Hyun’s agency shared, “Park Ji Hyun is positively reviewing the offer to star in ‘Gold Spoon.'”
“Gold Spoon” is a drama that depicts the growth and romance story of an immature third generation chaebol becoming a detective. The drama will be penned by scriptwriter Kim Ba Da of “My Name” and helmed by PD (producing director) Kim Jae Hong of “Steal Heart” and “My Love Eun Dong.”
Park Ji Hyun, who recently impressed audiences as Mo Hyun Min in “Reborn Rich,” has been offered the role of Lee Kang Hyun, a veteran detective who graduated from a police academy. Lee Kang Hyun is a workaholic who has a strong sense of responsibility and takes pride in being a police officer, and in addition to being greatly passionate, she has exceptional investigative and social skills as well as a flexible mindset.
Earlier in January this year, YTN Star reported that Ahn Bo Hyun was in talks to star in “Golden Spoon” as the leading role of the third generation chaebol Jin Yi Soo. A source from Ahn Bo Hyun’s agency stated, “Ahn Bo Hyun is confirmed to star in ‘Golden Spoon,’ and he is gearing up for filming.” If Park Ji Hyun accepts the role, this will be Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Ji Hyun’s second time working together after “Yumi’s Cell.”
“Gold Spoon” will reportedly begin filming in May with the goal of airing in the second half of the year. Stay tuned for more updates!
