Before the 2021 KBS Entertainment Awards took place on December 25, it turned out Moon Se Yoon had made a promise for winning the Daesang on “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4”!
On the December 26 episode of “2 Days & 1 Night,” the Mokpo food tour with special guest Hyeri continued. After a fun night of games and food at an covered cart bar, the production staff retired for the night and the members and Hyeri continued to talk late into the night.
From the start of the Mokpo special, Hyeri had singled Moon Se Yoon out as a potential candidate for the Daesang (Grand Prize) at the 2021 KBS Entertainment Awards. That night, she congratulated him again in advance on winning.
Moon Se Yoon said, “This is only my second year in a row going to an awards show on public television. In the past, I was never invited to awards shows, so I would spend the end of the year with my family. In those days, I would wonder, ‘How should I spend the holidays this year?’ Now that this is my second year, I naturally look forward to the third year. I think that that process in itself is fun. Our wife really enjoys them. I think that attending an awards show is a dream in and of itself.”
Hyeri asked what promise he would make if he won the Daesang. Moon Se Yoon suggested he lose 10 kilograms (about 22 pounds), but the members rejected this as being boring. It was suggested that he try Kang Ho Dong‘s hairstyle and Moon Se Yoon ended up promising to try out Kang Ho Dong’s hairstyle from season 1 of “2 Days & 1 Night” for a month if he won the Daesang.
Moon Se Yoon did win the Daesang for the first time in his career at the 2021 KBS Entertainment Awards. During the winning speech, Moon Se Yoon mentioned Kim Seon Ho, former castmate on “2 Days & 1 Night Season 4,” as one of the people he wanted to thank.
Overall, “2 Days & 1 Night” won seven awards at the show, including Moon Se Yoon’s Daesang, Viewers’ Choice Program of the Year, Entertainer of the Year for Moon Se Yoon and Kim Jong Min, Excellence in Show & Variety for Yeon Jung Hoon, Rookie in Show & Variety for Ravi, and TV Writer Award for Noh Jin Young.
