Entering the Korean music scene on 17 August 2014, Mino, Seung Hoon, Jin Woo, and Seung Yoon officially debuted through “Empty”, the title track of their very first album 2014 S/S.

Just last night, the members gathered to bond and delight in their momentous anniversary celebration through a special V live broadcast. Sweetly sharing a meal together and a commemorative cake afterward, the boys then took time to express their grateful hearts to fans.

Starting off with the group’s talented rapper Mino, he first shared his heartwarming message to fans. “I’m so grateful to the members and Inner Circles for being with me for over five years. It feels good to be able to celebrate good times with everyone on a good day like this. I hope that WINNER continues to be healthy in the future,” he said.

Seung Hoon then discussed how amazing it is for Inner Circles to still support them despite the inevitable changes that happened in the last several years.

“If you compare right now to five years ago, there are a lot of things that have changed – our looks, our personalities, and our styles. But whether it’s our fifth anniversary or 50th anniversary, our grateful and loving feelings toward Inner Circle won’t change, except to grow stronger,” Seung Hoon shared.

WINNER’s eldest hyung Jin Woo likewise sent his thankful greetings to fans for their undying support and love by saying, “I think that it’s like this. It’s hard to like one thing for five years. I really do think that. Whether it’s an object or a person, it’s an amazing thing to keep liking, supporting, and caring for something for this long. That’s why I’m grateful to the fans. I would be grateful if they kept doing that amazing thing for us.”

Additionally, the K-Pop quartet’s maknae-leader Seung Yoon shared his realization throughout their five-year career.

“When you first debut, you want to succeed as a singer and get first place and you have all these goals and big dreams. Now I mostly just want to keep doing things together. I’m grateful to everyone for helping me realize that,” he said.
