[K-Star]: Song Hye Kyo Sues Gossipmongers, Keeps Busy Since Splitting from Ex

Many of you will recall that Kdrama's golden couple filed for divorce a mere month ago, surprising many fans and breaking a lot of hearts all over the world. Well the pair's separation is now formally "done and dusted" as their divorce settlement has been speedily finalised earlier this week by Seoul's Family Court. Naturally, people are now asking what went wrong to cause the marriage of the century to go sour?

Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki have always been a very private (ex)couple so for the pair whose courtship was dubbed as Korea's fairy tale romance, the scrutiny from the public is bound to be intense. Is it any wonder then that haters and rumormongers are having a field day coming up with all sorts of reasons for the split? Well the haters better listen to their mothers this time because if you don't have anything nice to say, it might be best to keep it to yourself else it might land you in some boiling hot water!

The actress is fighting back and will be taking legal action against the busybodies spreading false malicious rumours about her. In an official statement released through her agency (UAA), the agency has confirmed that they have already filed a lawsuit versus individuals who are undeniably spreading hurtful content, "under the charges of defamation of character, slander, and spreading of false rumors. As soon as we retrieve evidence of remaining community posts, comments, YouTube content, etc which continue to defame our artist's reputation, we plan to submit additional criminal lawsuits against the individuals involved. We plan to proceed with strict legal action without any settlements."

Sad times really, I mean, these are two individuals hurting from the failure of their relationship. They need time to heal and they certainly don't need the added problem of gossipmongers coming up with all sorts of ridiculous things about them.

Anyway inhappier news, Song Hye Kyo has reportedly said that she’ll be taking some time off for herself for the rest of the year so don’t expect any new projects from the actress anytime soon. Despite this, I’m happy to say that the newly single actress did still find some time to attend public events even after splitting from her ex husband. Keeping herself busy with work, Song Hye Kyo was spotted out and about for the first time attending an event for South Korean cosmetics brand Sulwhasoo. As the face of the beauty brand, the actress posed for pictures wearing a beautiful summer appropriate white lace dress and luminous makeup. The actress was also spotted jetting off to Monaco for the gala dinner of luxury brand Chaumet following the inauguration of their Chaumet in Majesty exhibit in Monte Carlo – the same event Mulan’s Crystal Liu Yifei was seen attending.

Song Hye Kyo looks gorgeous as ever (in both events), and despite Netizens slamming her for her appearance in the Chaumet event this soon following her divorce (but really, I reckon these are engagements she'd RSVPed to several months early hence her obligation to attend), I’m sure many of us are also quite relieved to see her smiling and trying to be strong – sure, there’s a touch of sadness reflected in her eyes even when she smiles, but her poise and the grace that she carries herself through these trying times is very heartening for those of us who’d supported her career since the noughties.
