JaeJae will be resigning from her position as a producing director (PD) at SBS after working at the company for eight years.
On May 12, “MMTG” released a video titled “D-17. JaeJae resigns [from SBS]. True story” via YouTube Shorts.
In the released video, JaeJae holds a resignation letter in her hands as she looks up to the sky and remarks, “I can’t believe this day has finally come.” She then smiles brightly before heading to the human resources office to submit the letter.
Shortly after, “MMTG” producing director (PD) Hong Min Ji confirmed the news to StarNews, saying, “We are preparing an ‘MMTG’ content that will delve into more details about her resignation and the future direction of ‘MMTG.’ The full video will be released on May 29.”
A representative from SBS also shared, “It is true that JaeJae will be resigning from SBS. She submitted her resignation letter recently and her resignation date and procedure are currently being discussed. However, she will continue to be the host of ‘MMTG.'”
JaeJae first joined SBS New Media as an intern in 2015. She was then in charge of planning and hosting the SBS’s YouTube show “MMTG,” which became hugely popular thanks to her excellent hosting skills. JaeJae has since expanded her broadcasting activities by appearing on numerous variety programs such as the “Amazing Saturday” spin-off “Idol Dictation Contest,” “Knowing Bros,” and more.
