There’s only two episodes left in KBS’s “Moonshine”!
“Moonshine” is a historical drama set in the Joseon era, during the time when prohibition laws were at their strongest. It stars Yoo Seung Ho as Nam Young, Joseon’s greatest inspector who is known for living a principled life, and Hyeri as Kang Ro Seo, a struggling aristocrat who starts making illegal alcohol in order to support her family. Byun Woo Seok co-stars as Lee Pyo, the crown prince who secretly sneaks out to drink alcohol.
The drama has made waves with its unique subject matter and charming characters. Now that the tale is soon to come to a close, viewers are looking forward to seeing how the loose ends tie up. Read on to find out the three key points to look out for in the final episodes!
At the end of episode 14, Kang Ro Seo used the logbook left by her father to follow his footsteps to the gisaeng house where Jo Haeng Soo (Lee Chae Kyung) was residing. As suspected, the woman who sporadically appeared throughout the drama knows something about the Mangwolsa incident that occurred 10 years prior. The reason why she is seeking out Kang Ro Seo will be revealed in the final two episodes.
Meanwhile, Nam Young had been secretly investigating Lee Si Heum’s (Choi Won Young’s) study when the man himself threw open the door. It was then revealed that Lee Si Heum was the “monkey” that they were looking for, and curiosity mounted over why he had devised a scheme beginning an entire 10 years ago.
In addition to the full story of the Mangwolsa incident, the curtain will also be drawn on the pasts of the traveling merchant Shim Heon (Moon Yoo Kang) and Woon Shim (Park Ah In).
While investigating Shim Heon, Nam Young and Kang Ro Seo found out that he had been backed by Lee Si Heum. Due to this, they grew closer to the truth that he had been the one who killed Kang Ro Seo’s father and also the one who kept putting her in danger. Although all evidence points to his guilty verdict, the pair have no concrete evidence, and it remains to be seen how they will be able to corner him.
One of the main points of interest in the final episodes will be the ill-fated relationship between Nam Young, Kang Ro Seo, and the crown prince Lee Pyo. Throughout the drama, Nam Young became a friend that Lee Pyo relies on, while Kang Ro Seo became the target of his affection.
However, Lee Pyo’s uncle Lee Si Heum himself confessed that he was the one who killed Kang Ro Seo’s father. This complicated matters since Lee Pyo made up a fake culprit in order to protect his friends. Viewers are curious to find out how Nam Young and Kang Ro Seo will regard Lee Pyo after revealing the true face of Lee Si Heum, as this will put their friendship with the crown prince in jeopardy.
The drama’s production team commented, “We are confident that the drama will keep your eyes glued to the screen until the end as the Mangwolsa incident of 10 years ago connects with the present events. We ask for your interest in episodes 15 and 16 as there are going to be plenty of events to look out for, such as the connecting links of the incident, birth secrets, and more.”
