“Arthdal Chronicles” Production Company Announces 2nd Season Will Start Filming This Year

Production company Studio Dragon has officially announced that the highly-anticipated second season of “Arthdal Chronicles” is aiming to start production this year.

Previously in February 2020, tvN confirmed that the second season of “Arthdal Chronicles” is aiming to film in the second half of the year. However, in June 2020, Studio Dragon stated that the production schedule was up in the air due to COVID-19.

On February 21, a source from Studio Dragon confirmed, “The second season of ‘Arthdal Chronicles’ is being prepared with an aim to begin filming this year. The cast, broadcast timing, and platform have not been confirmed yet.”

Kim Young Hyun and Park Sang Yeon, who wrote the first season, will be in charge of the script, while Kim Kwang Sik, the director of the movie “The Great Battle,” will be in charge of directing.

“Arthdal Chronicles” is an epic fantasy drama about heroes who make their own legends in the mythical land of Arth. Song Joong Ki, Jang Dong Gun, Kim Ji Won, and Kim Ok Bin starred in the first season. Fans are keen to find out if they’ll reprise their roles and if other actors will be added to the lineup.
