Watch: Super Junior’s Donghae Throws Off Childhood Friend Song Ha Yoon With Random Reunion In Upcoming Rom-Com

Genie TV has previewed Song Ha Yoon and Super Junior’s Donghae’s chemistry in a new “Oh! Young Shim” (literal title) teaser!

Based on the classic Korean cartoon “Young Shim,” “Oh! Young Shim” is a romantic comedy about the reunion between childhood friends Oh Young Shim (Song Ha Yoon) and Wang Kyung Tae (Super Junior’s Donghae), who unexpectedly run into each other again after 20 years.

The drama’s new main teaser captures the two characters’ wildly different lives that miraculously end up crossing paths. Oh Young Shim has been a variety show producing director (PD) for the past eight years and is incredibly passionate about her work, which occasionally results in tantrums and arguments with her co-workers. On the other hand, Wang Kyung Tae is the young and rich CEO of a successful start-up.

With not much left to lose, Oh Young Shim takes the opportunity to work on a new dating program and attempts to recruit the popular Mark Wang, who she later realizes is her childhood friend Wang Kyung Tae. After their reunion, Wang Kyung Tae visits Oh Young Shim’s house and comments on their upcoming work together, but Oh Young Shim expresses her displeasure by dramatically throwing him over her shoulder.

At the office, Oh Young Shim works closely with Lee Chae Dong (Lee Min Jae), her kindhearted colleague who has a big one-sided crush on her. For the dating show, Oh Young Shim recruits another one of her childhood friends Gu Wol Sook (Jung Woo Yeon), a beauty YouTuber who dances along the fine line between being Oh Young Shim’s friend and foe. With these four characters so deeply intertwined with one another, whose relationships will make it out alive?

While the four characters are out for drinks, Gu Wol Sook asks Wang Kyung Tae, “There’s someone you like. True or false?” His face freezes as he takes in the question, but so do Oh Young Shim and Lee Chae Dong’s.

Later, Lee Chae Dong is filming the childhood friends when Wang Kyung Tae boldly asks Oh Young Shim, “I suddenly remember that time. Do you not remember, Young Shim?”
