The long-awaited movie “The Moon” is finally coming!
Back in 2021, it was confirmed that EXO’s D.O., Sol Kyung Gu, and Kim Hee Ae would be starring in the film “The Moon” and that filming had begun in the first half of the year. After two years, on May 4, “The Moon” finally announced its premiere date, along with a new poster and teaser.
“The Moon” will tell the story of an astronaut left alone in space and another man on Earth who is desperately trying to save him. D.O. will take the role of Sun Woo, the astronaut who became stranded in space over 3.84 million kilometers away from Earth due to an unexpected accident, and Sol Kyung Gu will play former space center director Jae Guk, the man on Earth who will embark on a rescue mission to save Sun Woo. Kim Hee Ae will transform into Moon Young, the chief director of the International Space Station.
“The Moon” is produced by director Kim Yong Hwa, the mastermind behind the “Along With the Gods” series. It will be Kim Yong Hwa’s first movie concerning space.
The newly released poster pique curiosity by capturing the lone astronaut standing on the Moon’s surface. The accompanying trailer also shows Sun Woo making a desperate Mayday call, sparking interest in the dramatic survival story of how an isolated individual can survive in the unknown realm of space.
