Watch: Son Ye Jin And Yeon Woo Jin Begin A Heart-Fluttering Romance In “Thirty-Nine” Teaser

JTBC has shared a new sneak peek of its upcoming drama “Thirty-Nine”!

“Thirty-Nine” is about three friends who met in their second year of high school and are now on the verge of turning 40. The drama will tell the beautiful and emotional everyday stories of three 39-year-old women who encounter unforeseen circumstances in their lives.

Son Ye Jin plays Cha Mi Jo, the head dermatologist of a clinic in Gangnam. Jeon Mi Do takes the role of Jung Chan Young, an acting teacher who previously dreamed of becoming an actress, and Kim Ji Hyun stars as Jang Joo Hee, a department store cosmetics manager.

The newly released teaser highlights the strong bond between the three friends as Cha Mi Jo says in a voice-over, “We’re 39-years-old. We met when we were 18. This is the story of those days when we laughed and cried a lot.”

Meanwhile, Kim Sun Woo (Yeon Woo Jin) appears in Cha Mi Jo’s life, previewing a new beginning full of romance. The two hold hands as they take a walk under the night sky. Kim Sun Woo runs into Cha Mi Jo’s arms, and Jung Chan Young hilariously says, “I’m loving the fast-paced romance.”

Kim Sun Woo also expresses his love for Cha Mi Jo as he cutely writes on a golf ball, “Nice shot, Director Cha,” with lots of hearts.

When Cha Mi Jo tells her friends, “I have a boyfriend,” they are beyond elated to hear the news.

“Thirty-Nine” will premiere on February 16 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
