Upcoming Netflix drama “The Whirlwind” has shared new posters and a teaser!

“The Whirlwind” depicts a conflict between a prime minister who is determined to assassinate the president in order to root out corruption and a deputy prime minister who is determined to stop him and seize power.

Sol Kyung Gu will take on the role of Prime Minister Park Dong Ho, who wants to change the political scene and punish the president who colluded with conglomerates. Kim Hee Ae will play Jeong Soo Jin, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, who climbed to the top of the political ladder with her intelligence and strong convictions.

The released posters show Prime Minister Park Dong Ho and Deputy Prime Minister Jeong Soo Jin facing off as the president lies unconscious in the background. The tension between Park Dong Ho and Jeong Soo Jin as they stand facing each other hints at the fierce political game and confrontation between them, as well as the turbulent times that lie ahead for the country as a result. The collapsed president, a fallen e-cigarette, and shards of broken glass also pique curiosity about what led to this shocking incident.

The accompanying teaser begins with the president clutching his heart and collapsing, followed by Park Dong Ho confessing, “I assassinated the president.” He adds, “I crossed the line. And there are no limits for those who cross it.” The teaser then introduces Jeong Soo Jin, who says that in politics, the powerful always win against the righteous.

Prime Minister Park Dong Ho goes on to lay out his plans, which include taking control of the NIS (National Intelligence Service), the prosecutors’ office, and the police, as well as digging into the president’s son and taking down some chaebol families. The president is then seen being moved on a stretcher as the caption reads, “That day, the president’s heart stopped.” Finally, Park Dong Ho is heard asking to be given just one month to turn the world upside down.
