Upcoming movie “The Daechi Scandal” has unveiled its stills and trailer ahead of its premiere!
Starring Ahn So Hee, Park Sang Nam, Takuya, and Jo Eun Yoo, “The Daechi Scandal” is set in the Daechi neighborhood, the center of private education where ambitious parents and students gather. When private institute instructor Yoon Im and middle school teacher Ki Haeng are spotted together, rumors about the leakage of exam questions start spreading in the neighborhood, bringing back memories of Yoon Im’s college life that she wanted to forget.
Korean language instructor Yoon Im is played by Ahn So Hee, who skillfully captures both the freshness of a college student and the intelligence of a teacher in her 30s. The actress is expected to portray her character’s multifaceted personality as a cool-headed yet caring teacher.
In one still, Yoon Im stands uncomfortably next to Ki Haeng (Park Sang Nam), sparking curiosity about what kind of relationship they had in the past and what events have made their interactions so awkward. Michio (Takuya) and Na Eun (Jo Eun Yoo), who spent their vibrant college years with Yoon Im, are also depicted in the stills.
The trailer released alongside the stills begins with contrasting scenes: Ki Haeng states that study isn’t everything in life while Yoon Im emphasizes the importance of study. Despite their differing views, they were actually friends and lovers from college, reuniting in the education field after a long time. The trailer offers a glimpse not only into their current lives but also into their past college days, raising viewers’ anticipation for the innocent, heart-fluttering moments they shared.
“The Daechi Scandal” is slated to hit theaters on June 19.
