JTBC has released a cute new behind-the-scenes video for “Forecasting Love and Weather”!
“Forecasting Love and Weather” is a new romance drama about the work and love lives of people who work at the Korea Meteorological Administration, Korea’s national weather forecast service.
Park Min Young stars as the frosty Jin Ha Kyung, who does everything by the book and is coldly fastidious about keeping her personal and professional lives separate, while Song Kang stars as Lee Si Woo, a free spirit who is always thinking outside the box and only cares about the weather. Yoon Bak plays Jin Ha Kyung’s handsome and silver-tongued ex-boyfriend Han Ki Joon, who works in the spokesperson’s office at the Korea Meteorological Administration.
The video starts with a scene between Park Min Young, Song Kang, and Yoon Bak. After yelling out his line, Yoon Bak laughs at himself and comments, “I think that was a bit excessive,” which leads to a discussion of ideas among the actors.
Once they finish with rehearsals, the trio begin filming when Park Min Young and Song Kang simultaneously make mistakes. During the next try, Song Kang bursts into laughter after making eye contact with Yoon Bak, but they are able to successfully finish the scene on the third take.
After Park Min Young and Yoon Bak exit the scene, Song Kang is left for his individual shot. Park Min Young and Yoon Bak then continue to keep it professional by completing their lines off-camera so that Song Kang can act more comfortably.
The next scene takes place in the office kitchen. Song Kang tries to steal some prop snacks before a staff member calls out with a laugh, “You can’t put that in your pocket.” He is then joined by Park Min Young for the scene where Lee Si Woo makes sure that Jin Ha Kyung takes her medicine. The two actors discuss approaches for the scene as Park Min Young comments, “I think the main point in all of this is lightness,” which Song Kang readily agrees with.
