KBS 2TV’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “Crazy Love” (literal title) has shared a closer look at its first script reading!
“Crazy Love” is a sweet yet savage and chaotic romance about a rude but skilled instructor who receives a death threat and his terminally ill secretary.
Kim Jae Wook stars as Noh Go Jin, the top math instructor in the country and the narcissistic CEO of the education company GOTOP, who has an IQ of 190. f(x)’s Krystal plays Lee Shin Ah, Noh Go Jin’s terminally ill secretary who does not have much of a presence. The cast also includes Ha Jun, Yoo In Young, Im Won Hee, Lee Si Eon, Jung Sung Ho, Baek Joo Hee, Kim Ki Nam, Lee Ha Jin, Lee Mi Young, Lee Yoon Hee, and Kim Hak Sun.
At the start of the clip, the cast is all gathered at the table read as the director introduces himself and shares his hopes that the filming set will be an enjoyable place for everyone. After the script reading, Kim Jae Wook introduces himself and his character to the camera. He comments, “In the drama, [Noh Go Jin] is an ill-mannered character who is rude to the point where people call him ‘Vulgar Noh.’ He tries to track down the person who sent him a death threat.”
Krystal also greets viewers and shares, “Lee Shin Ah is Noh Go Jin’s secretary with zero presence, who also has a terminal illness.”
Ha Jun plays the role of Oh Se Gi, the handsome, polite, and loved vice president of GOTOP. The actor explains, “If Noh Go Jin is the father of GOTOP, Oh Se Gi is kind of like the mother.” Meanwhile, Yoo In Young plays Noh Go Jin’s first love Baek Soo Young, who dreams of reuniting with him after eight years. She’s also the CEO of Baek Edu, GOTOP’s rival education company.
Regarding the reading, Krystal comments, “It was the first time all of us met together in one place. After having only read the written script and imagined it while reading, hearing everyone act helped me focus much better. Jae Wook oppa led me right away, so I trusted him and thought that we’d be able to act together comfortably.”
Lee Jae Wook adds, “I had butterflies, and since I’m working with so many senior and junior actors that I admire, it was nice to see them. I’m really looking forward to [the drama] because I think it’ll make lots of people laugh.”
