Watch: OMEGA X’s Jaehan And Yechan’s BL Drama “A Shoulder To Cry On” Confirms Premiere Date + Drops Romantic Teaser

OMEGA X’s Jaehan and Yechan’s upcoming BL drama has confirmed its new release date!

“A Shoulder to Cry On,” which will mark both Jaehan and Yechan’s first leading roles in a drama, is a new BL drama based on the webtoon of the same name (also known as “Cheer Up Boy”). The drama adaptation will tell the love story of Lee Da Yeol (Jaehan), a student who dreams of becoming an archer, and Jo Tae Hyun (Yechan), an extremely popular student who deceives himself about his own emotions due to painful emotional scars from his past.

Although the drama was originally set to premiere in November 2022, its release was indefinitely postponed in the wake of OMEGA X’s legal dispute with their agency. In November, OMEGA X announced that they would be filing a lawsuit to terminate their contract with SPIRE Entertainment, as well as criminal charges against the agency’s chairman, after the former CEO (who is also the chairman’s wife) came under fire for reportedly hitting the members in public.

Following the controversy over her alleged physical and verbal abuse of the group, the CEO ultimately stepped down from her position at the agency, but more allegations about the agency’s mistreatment of the idols continued to surface in the wake of her resignation, and OMEGA X ultimately held a press conference to share their side of the story. Early this year, OMEGA X announced that they had been granted an injunction suspending the validity of their exclusive contract with SPIRE Entertainment.

For fans earnestly awaiting the premiere of “A Shoulder to Cry On,” the drama has finally announced March 15 as its new release date and shared a romantic new teaser!

The teaser begins with a determined statement from archer Lee Da Yeol as he comments, “My life was on the target. I’ve put everything else away.” He then adds, “Up until I met you,” as he recalls his life-changing first meeting with Jo Tae Hyun.

As the two start growing closer, Jo Tae Hyun surprises Lee Da Yeol with some candy to show his support. While watching Jo Tae Hyun nap in class, Lee Da Yeol whispers, “cute.” However, he’s adorably thrown off guard when Jo Tae Hyun reveals that he’s not actually sleeping by nonchalantly asking, “what is?”

Eventually, the two find themselves sitting together in an equipment room as Jo Tae Hyun confesses, “I like you,” before leaning in for a kiss.
