On March 6, MBC’s “Chief Detective 1958” released a new teaser video starring Lee Je Hoon!
“Chief Detective 1958” will serve as a prequel to the classic Korean series “Chief Inspector,” which was set in the 1970s and 1980s (present day at the time). Lee Je Hoon portrays legendary Chief Park Young Han (originally played by Choi Bool Am) in the days of his youth. In contrast to Choi Bool Am’s past portrayal of Chief Park as a well-rounded detective, Lee Je Hoon recreates Chief Park, who constantly engages in a fierce battle against the society that tramples on human dignity, with his own unique style.
The newly released teaser video begins with detective Park Young Han whose eyes are filled with intense rage as he says with fervor, “I wan’t to catch them so badly, but I can’t.” Together with Kim Sang Soon (Lee Dong Hwi), Jo Kyung Hwan (Choi Woo Sung), and Seo Ho Jung (Yoon Hyun Soo), Park Young Han forms a strong team determined to take down the bad guys, fueling anticipation for the teamwork of these passionate detectives.
Park Young Han, who brought his dreams to Seoul all the way from his hometown Hwangcheon, is renowned for his relentless action against crime, having achieved the title of “Top Arrest Rate for Cow Theft in Gyeonggi Province” for three consecutive years. The handsome detective with a strong punch and great personality draws special attention, and his thrilling and exhilarating actions fueled with passion and determination provide excitement and satisfaction to viewers.
