JTBC’s upcoming female vocal group audition program “Girls on Fire” has unveiled its producer lineup!
On March 4, JTBC revealed that Yoon Jong Shin, Dynamic Duo’s Gaeko, Sunwoo JungA, Apink’s Jeong Eun Ji, DAY6’s Young K, and choreographer Kinky will be joining “Girls on Fire” as producers.
Helmed by the production team of “Phantom Singer” and “Super Band,” “Girls on Fire” plans to discover talented musicians and create a female vocal group. It was previously revealed that entertainer Jang Do Yeon will be the MC for the show.
The newly released teaser clip shares a sneak peek of the six producers’ anticipation for the “Girls on Top” participants. Singer-songwriter Sunwoo JungA remarks, “It has been rare to see a female vocal group for some time.” Jeong Eun Ji adds, “[The public] has a lot of desire for well-produced vocals, especially these days.”
Chreographer Kinky shares, “We must be able to quench the thirst of the public with music that is no longer limited to the music they listen to but the music they see,” while Young K comments, “The members must be good at everything including vocal skills.”
In addition, producers Yoon Jong Shin and Gaeko herald the birth of a new group by commenting, “This will be the beginning of K-pop diversity,” and, “Like K-hip hop, a new trend will emerge in female vocal music as well.”
