“Oasis” has dropped a look at the filming of Jang Dong Yoon and Seol In Ah’s kiss scene!
Starring Jang Dong Yoon, Seol In Ah, and Chu Young Woo, KBS2’s “Oasis” is a drama about three youths who fight fiercely to protect their dreams, friendships, and first love against the turbulent backdrop of South Korea from 1980 to 1990.
The latest making-of video kicks off with rehearsals for the intense scene where Oh Jung Shin (Seol In Ah) watches Lee Doo Hak (Jang Dong Yoon) get arrested. Later, they film outside and Seol In Ah flusters Jang Dong Yoon by jokingly pointing a gun at him while flashing a big smile.
While touching up his hair, Jang Dong Yoon explains to the drama’s crew, “People around me say really often that the [camera] angles are so cool and film-like, so I wanted to tell you.” The staff member responds that Jang Dong Yoon’s character comes out very manly on screen and the actor jokes, “I’ve aged in real life in that time.” Laughing, he adds, “With stress, I’ve grown white hairs.”
Ahead of a different scene, Do Sang Woo is crouched on the ground when he spots the making camera and asks what it is. He explains that he hasn’t been feeling well all day due to being seasick, so Jang Dong Yoon and their other co-stars gather around to serenade him with a quick song.
Later, the group reunites with Seol In Ah and Bae Seul Gi and the two couples practice their romantic greetings. The director suggests that Bae Seul Gi and Do Sang Woo just hug, making Jang Dong Yoon cry out, “You have to kiss! They’re married! Why wouldn’t the married couple kiss?!”
Although Jang Dong Yoon jokes around for a little longer, he and Seol In Ah quickly immerse into the sweet kiss scene and get the perfect shot.
