Watch: Jang Dong Yoon And Park Yoo Na’s Sweet Relationship Turns Sour In New Teaser And Poster For “Long D”

Apr 14, 2023

Upcoming romance film “Long D” (previously known as “Long Distance”) has shared its first trailer and a new poster!

Starring Jang Dong Yoon and Park Yoo Na, “Long D” depicts the love story of a couple of the same age who started a long distance relationship in their fifth year together right before turning 30.

“Long D” draws attention as a joint production with Baselevs, a company that introduced the screenlife format to the world through the film “Searching.” A screenlife film refers to a visual storytelling technique in which all the events are shown through the screens of electronic devices. Likewise, “Long D” will depict the dating approach of the current generation, in which couples are connected 24/7 through online means, in the form of screenlife.

The newly released poster introduces this new screenslife formatting by showing screens captured from Do Ha (Jang Dong Yoon) and Tae In’s (Park Yoo Na’s) online conversations through social media, messenger apps, and video calls. While the left side of the poster is filled with affectionate photos and sweet KakaoTalk conversations between the two that hint at Do Ha and Tae In’s loving and peaceful relationship, the broken phone screen and missed phone calls on the right side of the poster suggest upcoming cracks and troubles between the two. The text on the poster reads, “Despite the ‘Long D,’ we’re connected 24/7.”

The accompanying teaser gives better sneak peeks at the couple’s journey. Meeting each other for the first time as a loyal fan (Do Ha) and an indie band vocalist (Tae In), the two slowly but surely progress into a couple. On the same day that Do ha plans to propose to Tae In on their fifth anniversary, he’s invited to a party by an old friend who now is a big influencer. Thinking the party can help Do Ha build connections for his career, the couple delays their date, only for Do Ha not to show up at the end because he’s gotten too drunk at the party. Not remembering anything from the night before, Do Ha wakes up in horror to find he’s now popular on the Internet as a party animal and now faced with a clearly furious girlfriend.
