“Cheer Up” has dropped a fun behind-the-scenes clip for Episode 5!
SBS’s “Cheer Up” is a campus mystery rom-com about a college cheer squad whose glory days are long gone and is now on the verge of falling apart. Han Ji Hyun stars as Do Hae Yi, a rookie member of Yonhee University’s cheer squad Theia, who has a cheerful personality despite facing difficult circumstances at home. Bae In Hyuk stars as Theia’s oft-misunderstood captain Park Jung Woo, who is a firm stickler for the rules but is also a romantic at heart.
The video starts off with a romantic scene between Han Ji Hyun and Bae In Hyuk, where the two go stargazing and end the night with an intense and longing look into one another’s eyes. While the scene itself is filled to the brim with tension and anticipation, as soon as the director calls “Cut!” the two actors are quick to goof around and be silly with each other.
Han Ji Hyun also has to do a scene where she trips and falls, and the actress is determined to make it look right, even if that means having to practice falling about ten different times!
After that, the cheer squad’s member training (MT) gets underway, with the entire cast coming together to have a good time, eat good food, and show off their awesome dancing skills.
Han Ji Hyun, Lee Eun Saem, and Kim Shin Bi then take the stage for a cute dance cover of TWICE‘s “Cheer Up,” taking extra time to make sure they are all in sync and ready to give the perfect performance. Then, they get their wild accessories prepared and check their camera angles one last time before performing for their excited audience.
