MBN’s highly anticipated drama “Missing Crown Prince” has unveiled a new trailer!

“Missing Crown Prince” is a romantic comedy set in the Joseon era about a crown prince who is kidnapped by the woman who is set to become his wife. While on the run for their lives, romance winds up blossoming between them. The drama is a spin-off of “Bossam: Steal the Fate,” which set a new record for the highest viewership ratings in MBN history. It’s penned by the same writers Kim Ji Soo and Park Chul, who crafted the original series.

The newly released teaser begins with assailants infiltrating the palace, prompting Crown Prince Lee Geon (Suho) to urgently question, “Do you not know their target is me?!” Meanwhile, Lee Geon’s father King Hae Jong (Jeon Jin Oh) is seen bleeding, and the royal physician Choi Sang Rok (Kim Joo Hun) faces ruthless attacks from assassins.

Lee Geon’s frustration boils over as he confronts his opponent, exclaiming, “Do you think your treachery will be forgiven?!” Subsequently, as he is dragged away, a voice questions, “What do you mean he’s now a dethroned prince?” The ensuing scenes depict Lee Geon enduring torture, accompanied by a somber narration insisting, “Please die for the sake of everyone.”

As the teaser continues, Choi Sang Rok issues an ultimatum, “If you want to have my [daughter] Choi Myung Yoon (Hong Ye Ji), become the prince.” In response, Lee Geon’s younger brother Prince Dosung (Kim Min Kyu), conducts a chilling ritual, his tears mingling with his words, “People I respect may die because of me.” Following this, the scene shifts to Choi Myung Yoon, cradling a figure drenched in blood as she mourns, “Because of my fate, I, too, may be the cause of the deaths of the innocent.”

The tension mounts as Lee Geon reveals blood-stained bandages over his abdomen, remarking, “This is the result of trusting someone I never doubted in my dreams.” Meanwhile, Prince Dosung brandishes a blade, his voice resolute as he declares, “The dethroned prince and I are now enemies,” echoed by Lee Geon asserting, “If I return to the palace, we will become enemies,” as he fiercely fights with someone, setting the stage for an inevitable confrontation between the brothers.

As Lee Geon vows, “I will definitely seek revenge,” while the voice of the rebellious faction says fearfully, “If the Crown Prince returns, we may all die,” the tension reaches a fever pitch when Lee Geon, clad in regal blue attire, strides back into the palace, proclaiming, “I am the prince of Joseon!”
