MBC’s new historical drama has shared Cha Hak Yeon’s gorgeous character poster!
“Joseon Attorney” (literal translation) will tell the story of an oejibu (an attorney in the Joseon Dynasty) who takes revenge on an enemy that caused the death of his parents through a trial. Although the drama starts with revenge, it will depict the growth of the protagonist who gradually becomes a real attorney that cares for the people and exemplifies how revenge stems from loneliness. Woo Do Hwan stars as the charming attorney Kang Han Soo, while WJSN‘s Bona will play the caring Princess Lee Yeon Joo.
VIXX’s Cha Hak Yeon portrays Yoo Ji Seon, the enemy of Kang Han Soo and Lee Yeon Joo and the only son of the most prestigious family in Joseon Dynasty. While he holds the highest-ranking government position in the city of Hanseongbu, Yoo Ji Seon’s father Yoo Jae Sae (Chun Ho Jin) holds sole power over the court. Although Yoo Ji Seon has attained his position by studying diligently, he feels stuck wondering whether he should follow in his father’s footsteps.
In the character’s dramatic poster, Yoo Ji Seon wears a beautiful blue robe and appears very serious. Behind his serious gaze are eyes full of emotion. Referring to Yoo Ji Seon’s questions about the future, the poster reads, “Even if I become a nameless flower that blooms on the side of the road…”
Producers of “Joseon Attorney” teased, “[The drama] will entertainingly unfold stories regarding the various characters’ relationships and how the dream of Yoo Ji Seon, who dreams of a different path from Kang Han Soo and Lee Yeon Joo, will play out.”
“Joseon Attorney” will start airing on March 31 at 9:50 p.m. KST.
