“The Outlaws 2” (also known as “The Roundup”) continues to climb to new heights at the Korean box office!
According to the Korean Film Council, as of June 4 at 9 a.m. KST, “The Outlaws 2” had officially surpassed 8 million moviegoers—making it the first film to reach the milestone since the hit 2019 film “Ashfall,” which was released before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Notably, it took “The Outlaws 2” less than 18 days to hit the 8 million mark, putting it on par with the legendary 2015 film “Veteran,” which ultimately racked up a total of over 13.4 million moviegoers during its impressive run.
The sequel to Ma Dong Seok’s popular 2017 action film “The Outlaws,” “The Outlaws 2” follows the exciting adventures of legendary detective Ma Seok Do and his police station’s violent crimes squad as they chase down a powerful new villain (played by Son Suk Ku). “The Outlaws 2” has already surpassed the final total of 6,880,546 moviegoers recorded by the original “The Outlaws” film.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of “The Outlaws 2” on the ongoing success of their new film!
