Filming of “The Forbidden Marriage” has come to a halt after a production team staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
On November 10, a source from MBC’s “The Forbidden Marriage” shared that a staff member has been diagnosed with COVID-19. With this, the entire filming of the drama has been suspended. The source added, “Filming will resume on November 14. We will do our best to ensure the safety of the cast and staff.”
Based on the web novel of the same name, “The Forbidden Marriage” will star Kim Young Dae as King Yi Heon, who falls so deep into despair after the death of his wife that he ends up prohibiting marriage in his kingdom. Seven years after the loss of his wife (played by IZ*ONE’s Kim Min Ju), who was then the crown princess, he comes across a con artist named So Rang (Park Ju Hyun) who claims that she can be possessed by the late princess’s spirit.
“The Forbidden Marriage” is scheduled to premiere on December 9 at 9:50 p.m. KST as the follow-up drama for Sooyoung and Yoon Bak‘s “Fan Letter, Please.”
Wishing them a speedy recovery!
