Producing director (PD) Kim Tae Ho revealed that he’ll be teaming up with Lee Hyori once again for a new variety show!
Earlier this year, PD Kim Tae Ho left MBC after 21 years with the broadcasting network. Soon after, he created a new variety show with Lee Hyori called “Seoul Check-In” and also founded his own production company named TEO.
On November 9, PD Kim Tae Ho hosted a live broadcast on TEO’s YouTube channel alongside Jung Jong Yeon, a fellow TEO PD who created the programs “The Genius” and “The Great Escape.”
On the live broadcast, PD Kim Tae Ho announced that Lee Hyori’s reality show “Seoul Check-In,” which was a TVING original, will start airing on tvN next week. He shared, “The contents will be shortened to about 10 episodes and air at 9 p.m. KST on Mondays. Those who haven’t seen it on TVING will have a chance to watch it on TV.” Kim Tae Ho added that despite the shortened series, there would no changes to the content.
In addition, Kim Tae Ho revealed, “A while ago, Lee Hyori had planned to go to Canada for a one-month vacation, and she requested that we archive it on video, so our company staff went with her.” He also remarked that for now, the name of the new program would be “Canada Check-In.”
Regarding what the program is about, Kim Tae Ho hinted, “Lee Hyori regularly volunteers at the Jeju Island abandoned dogs center and continuously sends dogs for overseas adoption in hopes that they will grow up in a better environment. She left for Canada to visit the dogs that she had come to love and care about and we shot her journey of meeting each dog while she traveled in a camping car.”
Even though PD Kim Tae Ho has not yet shared which channel or platform the new variety show will air on, PD Jung Jong Yeon revealed that filming has already ended.
