Teen Top’s Changjo Announces Military Enlistment Date

Teen Top’s Changjo has revealed the date of his upcoming military enlistment.

On October 24, Changjo’s agency BEAT INTERACTIVE officially announced that Changjo would be enlisting on November 20. The agency shared, “Changjo recently passed the Military Manpower Administration’s Special Service, and he plans to faithfully perform his national defense duties as a member of the Army’s military band after finishing basic military training,” and added, “For everyone’s safety, the location and time of Changjo’s enlistment will not be disclosed. We ask for the understanding of many fans that there will be no separate official event.”

On the same day, Changjo took to Instagram to share a heartfelt handwritten letter announcing his upcoming military enlistment. In his letter, he conveyed, “On November 20, 2023, I will be enlisting in the military. I have been watching my Teen Top members enlist and complete their service, and I’ve always thought they were amazing and cool. Maybe it’s because I’ve been mentally preparing as I watched the members go through their own enlistments, I find myself actually feeling excited and a bit nervous.”

Changjo continued, “Through this upcoming military service, my goal is to return as someone even stronger, healthier, and more mature for my fans who have continually supported me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I love you all so much.” He concluded with the assurance, “I will fulfill my duties diligently and repay the love shown by ANGELS and Jerry. Let’s meet again in good health with smiles on our faces on May 19, 2025.”
