Ryo Yoshizawa is a Japanese actor known for his expressive and emotive eyes & his natural acting style in live-action movies.
His breakthrough roles were as Okita Sougo in Gintama, and as Yuichi in Friends Games. In early 2011, Yoshizawa made his debut in Sign with fellow Amuse! actors Dori Sakurada and Takuya Uehara. In the second half of that year, he starred in Kingyo Club, and would go on to portray Ryusei Sakuta in Kamen Rider Fourze’s episode 17.
Yoshizawa’s interview with Uchusen Magazine was featured in their 135th issue. He revealed his inspiration behind his character's split personality and his first experience with ADR recording. Yoshizawa compared his character to that of Light Yagami from Death Note. He also watched Bruce Lee films as a reference, since his character frequently performed the trademark kiai of Howatchā (ホワッチャーッ), when firing punches or kicks.
