Tony Mak (1950)

Age: 74
Born: Jan 01, 1950
Nationality: British Hong Kong
Height: 0 CM
Zodiac sign: Capricorn

Nicknamed "Monkey" by his colleagues, Mak Wai Cheung in an accomplished stuntman, working in the business since the end of the seventies. He's started his career as a member of Lau Kar Leung and Lau Kar Wing's team and as such appeared mostly in Shaw Brothers productions. Mak kept following his mentors for about ten years.

At the origin, "Monkey" was a gymnast but there is no doubt he has practiced other martial arts since his short body hides a very efficient martial artist. He was able to show it when he was granted some action supporting role works. It was such in Disciples Of The 36th Chamber where he's one of the brothers of Fong Sai Yuk or in Legend Of The Wolf as a monkey style expert (not surprising considering his nickname !). Unfortunately, his face was not really appropriate to become a "A list" actor and he always ends going back to his stuntman activity.

Finally, after more than 10 years, he rose to the ranks and become a fight choreographer. His first experience in this matter took place on the average Stars And Roses but he really shows his stuff in 1996 on a few low budget movies and alongside Donnie Yen on his directorial debuts.

Active Years: 1979 - 2008
