Takeuchi Yuko, born in Saitama, Saitama, Japan, was a Japanese actress. She made her big break with NHK's television series Asuka and JT Green's commercial. She had gone on to star in many TV shows, movies, and commercials.

On May 10, 2005, Takeuchi married Nakamura Shidou, a Kabuki actor. They met during the filming of the movie Be with You. She gave birth to her eldest son the same year. The couple divorced on February 29, 2008. She later married Nakabayashi Taiki in 2019, and her second son was born in January 2020.

She was popular for her cute looks and cheerful image. She was said to be like Meg Ryan by a Japanese magazine, and Audrey Hepburn by director Negishi Kichitaro.

It was reported that Takeuchi Yuko was found dead at her home in Tokyo on the morning of September 27, 2020. Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department ruled her death as a suicide despite no suicide note.
