Oh Jeong Hae is a South Korean traditional musician, actress and broadcaster. She graduated from the National Traditional Arts High School and later obtained a bachelor's and a master's degree in Korean Music from Chung-Ang University and a Ph.D. in Oriental Art from Wonkwang University. She was a pansori singer since elementary school and the last disciple of master Kim So Hee. She had a childhood full of rules as Kim forbade her from doing or eating many things in order to save her voice for her performances.
She made her debut in 1992 by participating and winning the traditional beauty Miss Chunhyang pageant. That earned her a role in the movie " Sopyeonje" the following year and later she had other roles in several movies. She also had a morning radio show on KBS FM for several years, however, she began reducing her TV appearances in the mid-2000s to focus on her family. She has an occasional performance at a university event but has not done much since 2010.
