Moriyama Mirai started dancing at age of five training tap, ballet, hip hop until he officially stage debut in 1999 with BOYS TIME. Active in drama and theater, he has appeared in a lot of dramas since them as "Goodbye Mr. Otsu," "Waterboys" and "Last Christmas".
In 2004 he played a high school age hero trying to deal with his terminally-ill girlfriend in the Japanese film "Socrates in Love, also known as Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World (Sekai no Chūshin de, Ai o Sakebu)", earning the Blue Ribbon Award as the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for Excellence in Japan. In 2008, he played the lead character in a Japanese version of the musical RENT.
