Sakura was born in Kagoshima City, Japan. Sakura is a former member of the Japanese idol girl groups HKT48 and AKB48. In 2018 she participated in the survival show called produce 48. She was produce 48's first center. She ranked 2nd in the produce 48 and became the member of girl group IZ*ONE. The group was officially disbanded on April 29, 2021.
She is vice captain of HKT48's Team KIV and a member of AKB48's Team A. Miyawaki joined HKT48 as their first generation Kenkyūsei in July 2011. In the AKB48 General Elections held annually, Miyawaki has consistently been ranked high and has gradually gone up in rank each time; in the 2018 Election, she placed 3rd. She officially graduated on June 19th 2021 and parted ways with her Japanese management agency.
On March 14, 2022 a representative of Source Music, which is part of HYBE Labels announced that Sakura has signed exclusive contracts with the agency. She will debut as a member of first girl group launched through the cooperation of HYBE and Source Music. And on April 3, 2022, Sakura was introduced as the first member of 'LE SSERAFIM'. The group debuted on May 2, 2022, with the release of their first extended play titled 'Fearless'.
