Lee Jung Yong is a South Korean actor, musician, singer, lyricist, composer, model, author, and YouTuber. After majoring in theater at a junior college, he graduated with a bachelor's degree in theater and film from Seoul Theological University. He made his acting debut in 1982 with a role in the MBC drama "Tiger Teacher" and later, he debuted as a theater actor in 1988, appearing in the musical "Les Misérables" in 1993. A year later, he participated in the MBC Open Actor Selection Contest and in 1995, he debuted as a comedian in the 6th MBC open comedian recruitment. He won the Best New Male Artist at the MBC Comedy Awards in 1997. For many years, he appeared in a number of comedy programs, dramas, and musicals but recently he has decided to appear almost exclusively in dramas rather than in comedy shows.
