Lee Dong Gun is a South Korean actor and a singer under FNC Entertainment. He released his first music album in 1998, followed by his first acting role in the 1999 television drama “Ad Madness".

Lee enlisted for his mandatory military service on June 15, 2010. He was discharged on March 28, 2012. On the same day he was discharged, he was appointed as the promotional ambassador for the 2012 Korean Formula One Grand Prix held at the Korea International Circuit which took place in October.

It was confirmed on February 28, 2017 that Lee Dong Gun was dating Jo Yoon Hee, his co-star in “The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop” (2016). Lee announced on May 2, 2017 that they have registered their marriage and expecting their first child. The couple held a private wedding ceremony on September 29, 2017 and welcomed a baby girl on December 14, 2017. The couple divorced after three years of marriage on May 29, 2020.
