Kim Sun Kyung is a South Korean musical actress and actress. She graduated from Anyang Arts High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Church Music from Chongshin University and a master's degree in Public Relations Marketing from Kyung Hee University.

She made her debut in 1988 as the female MC of the KBS show "March of Youth". In 1991, she debuted as a singer with a song written by Choi Seong Won of DEULGUKHWA. The following year she became one of the first Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) singers with the song "Into Time Without Sorrow". In 1998, she provided the singing voice of a character in the South Korean dubbing of the animated film "The Prince of Egypt".

She married in 2004 to her non-celebrity boyfriend but divorced 4 years later without any children. In 2005, she revealed her former manager of 10 years stole all her money and despite winning the court case, the money was never returned. She frequently appears on dramas, musicals and movies but she gained notoriety after her roles in major musicals like "The Beauty and the Beast", "The Sound of Music", among others.
