In the last episode, we see Su-ho’s jealousy coming to an end finally when Hyeon-seo expresses her attraction to him. before that though, they have a successful shoot that ends in her breaking K’s heart and selling off her pianos to start her cafe. Will Su-ho and Hyeon-seo’s relationship be successful the second time around?

Soundtrack #2 or 사운드트랙#2 stars Geum Sae-rok and Steve Noh in lead roles, along with K-pop artist Demian. Geum Sae-rok was last seen in successful dramas such as The Interest of Love, Youth of May and Joseon Exorcist. Meanwhile, Steve Noh was last seen in Behind Every Star, Curtain Call and Pachinko.

The new Korean drama series will stream on Disney+ from December 06, 2023, to December 20, 2023. The series is expected to have 6 episodes, and two episodes will be released every Wednesday at 1.30 PM IST.

Soundtrack 2 Episode 6 Recap

Soundtrack 2 starts with the audience getting to know that the couple have decided to split once again. In flashbacks, we see their relationship being warm, but it seems like something is always missing. As they get busier and busier with their lives, they start to drift apart a bit. It’s a difficult time in her life as she tries to get things going while also earning money. One day, she is taken aback when she learns that Su-ho paid one year’s worth of rent, which pushes her down a similar road as before, and she asks for time from him to sort her thoughts out.

She goes to Jin-gyeong and discusses her inferiority complex and comes to the conclusion that unless she gets over this issue herself, she cannot love anyone. Elsewhere, Su-ho comes to a similar conclusion and decides to dump Hyeon-seo, ending in a tearful breakup from both sides.

In the present, Hyeon-seo continues to deliver food to make a living. She is still in contact with K, who thanks her for everything regarding the song and tells her that he always knew how much he loved her. Back at home, she comes across the rough footage for the BTS video and sees how much Su-ho loves him and cares for him. Stuck in between her professional and personal problems, she pauses the renovations in order to find out what she actually wants from her life.

That night, she opens up to Su-ho about her feelings and how she feels ashamed of how lost she feels and how she is never at ease. She goes on a tour of the same Santiago route that Su-ho had walked alone in order to find herself. Su-ho deletes the email and gets rid of the fridge magnet after reading her email. On her way to Santiago, she finds Su-ho beside her going to Santiago as well, and she allows him to carry her luggage, showcasing that she might be opening herself up to receiving help from others.

In the last scene, we see Hyeon-seo doing concerts with K, which turns out to be a huge success. Su-ho and Hyeon-seo have reconciled and seem to be happy together.

Soundtrack 2 Finale Review

I think this is a fine finale, but it doesn’t leave much of an interesting after-effects and is quite forgettable. I think instead of going to Santiago, Hyeon-seo should’ve gotten some therapy because I doubt her insecurities and inferiority complex got solved so easily and effectively right after her realisation. I also think the happy ending was a bit rushed and felt forced. I think we didn’t get to see enough of how she got over her pretty big issues because, for a big part of the last episode, she was going off the rails about inconsequential things.

Either way, it’s a good-looking series that didn’t get the ending right. I am also left to wonder what the point of K’s character was. He just came in from nowhere and left just as quickly. It’s so weird.
