Ryu Jun Yeol and Shin Hyun Been may be teaming up for a new film!
On November 28, SPOTV News reported that Ryu Jun Yeol will be starring in director Yeon Sang Ho’s new film “Book of Revelation” (literal title). Industry insiders further reported that Shin Hyun Been will also be starring in the film.
In response to the reports, both representatives from Ryu Jun Yeol’s agency C-JeS Studio and Shin Hyun Been’s agency Yooborn Company shared that they received offers to star in Yeon Sang Ho’s new film and that they were reviewing their offers.
“Book of Revelations” is based on a Kakao Webtoon, and the original webtoon follows the story that unfolds when a pastor with a mission to establish a church welcomes a new devotee.
Previously, Ryu Jun Yeol impressed with his performance in the film “The Night Owl,” which snagged him numerous awards including Best Actor for the film category at the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards. He is currently gearing up for the release of Part 2 of his film “Alienoid.”
If she accepts the role, Shin Hyun Been will be taking on her first film in four years since “Beasts Clawing at Straws.” The actress previously worked with director Yeon Sang Ho in TVING’s “Monstrous,” and she is currently starring in ENA’s new drama “Tell Me You Love Me.”
Yeon Sang Ho is the director behind famous films including “Train to Busan,” “Psychokinesis,” “Peninsula,” “The Cursed: Dead Man’s Prey,” and “Jung_E,” and he also penned the drama “The Cursed” and directed “Hellbound.”
